IDEATION : ILC Members' Opportunity to Exhibit Their Talents!
21 Aug 2022

The most important thing for business owners to do is to conduct a due diligence evaluation of their company to identify not only its strengths and weaknesses, but also its Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. It also serves to reduce the possibility of failure in a business. As a result, iCommunity Indonesia facilitates this by hosting IDEATION.
IDEATION is a space for members of the iCommunity to pitch their business. In this IDEATION, presenters - those who will pitch, and community representatives - those who have successfully run a brand business, will be introduced. The goal of IDEATION is to evaluate each other and bring business people and professionals together so that they can collaborate.
Every first week of the month, IDEATION is held, and this program is also in collaboration with Start Up Huddle Jakarta and Impactner Business School.
Aside from the pitching material, namely the pitch deck, which must be prepared, speakers must also prepare how to do good public speaking.
1. Know the Audience
When making a presentation, we must be aware of who we will be dealing with. Furthermore, we must know how many audiences we are dealing with, because a large number of audiences usually affects the mentality that we must prepare.
2. Jittery is Natural!
People who give presentations in front of large groups of people will definitely feel nervous. The key is to practice and prepare the material as much as possible. As the saying goes, "practice and give your best, and the results will follow."
3. Pay Attention to Feedback
Pay attention to the audience and observe how they react. Maintain flexibility in all reactions, and don't forget to write down all messages, both criticism and feedback.
4. Use Humor or Punchline to Get Attention
Don't just give a boring presentation; include jokes to catch their attention, which should be related to the presentation.
5. Avoid reading too many notes
When we do preparations, we usually take notes to help us understand what we are going to talk about. But don't rely too heavily on your notes during the presentation itself; doing so will give the impression that you lack command of the situation.
6. Use Audio Visual Content As Wisely As Possible
Presentation materials are also useful for combining video or photo materials to provide an audio-visual picture to the audience so that, while listening to the speaker's explanation, they also have an idea of how the business you are running is.
Well, those are presentation tips; the public speaking trick may appear simple at first glance, but without practice and understanding of the subject matter, public speaking will not appear to be so simple.
Good Luck!
