Through the Indonesia Pride Consulting Discussion Forum, iCommunity joins as an initiator to find recession solutions in 2023.

11 Jan 2023
According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), 2023 will be a difficult and dark year, since one-third of the world's countries have experienced recession or negative growth for two consecutive quarters.

This is what finally motivates iCommunity to participate in numerous collaborations aimed at developing answers to the 2023 recession, one of which is with Indonesia Pride Consulting.

On Wednesday (11/01), Indonesia Pride Consulting hosted a 'Dinner with Entrepreneurs' event with the theme Strategy to Win Business Battles in 2023 at Voza Tower Surabaya.

The debate focused on four primary topics: marketing, finance, resources, and funding, and featured speakers who are experts in their industries such as Dedy Sidarta (Financial & Tax Expert), Paulus Sulastri (Business & Marketing Expert), Roy DWK (Business & Funding Expert), and Imam Wijoyo (Leadership & Human Capital Expert)

The gathering began with the entrepreneurs in attendance that night putting down any complaints or challenges that had occurred in their respective business domains of Marketing, Finance, Resources, and Funding, which would then be reviewed together.

One of the participants' criticisms was about the marketing challenge, in which he thought he couldn't emphasize his goods and compete with competitors. According to Bro Pao, any firm must have a USP, or Unique Selling Proposition, in order for the brand supplied to stand out from competitors.

Paulus Sulastri, who is also the Co-Founder of iCommunity, elaborated on Branding and Marketing on the forum. "Branding is essential for a company to compete with a similar product. Consumers will be unable to recognize the originality of the business if it lacks branding," Paul elaborated.

More than 30 participants from various business sectors attended the event, which was not only focused on entrepreneurs with product lines but also some engaged in services. Interestingly, a number of out-of-town entrepreneurs attended the event, including Fitri from Malang, who works in the expedition sector, Siswandi, who works in the tape product sector, Siwi, who works in the housekeeping service sector, and so on.

The most intriguing aspect of the event is that attendees can share their experiences in growing their businesses from zero to current size. Fitri is one of them, a Malang merchant who started selling credit at a little desk in front of her house.

The juxtaposition of emotion and fun makes the 'Dinner With Entrepreneurs' event with the theme Strategy to Win Business Battles in 2023 intriguing and makes participants desire to attend such events in the future. This makes Juanda Rovelim, the Founder of iCommunity, proud, and she will continue to provide his entire support.

"Being a part of this event makes iCommunity proud, and we will continue to provide full support for positive events that are presented, particularly for business people and professionals, so that we can jointly strengthen and still be able to face all the problems that arise in order to find solutions together to compete in this era of uncertainty." Juanda elaborated.
